Similar to the ColorFlex EZ, the ColorFlex EZ Citrus, using innovative 45˚/0˚ geometry, is able to measure and acquire accurate reflected data of solid, semisolid, powder and liquid samples as it contains the firmware for a variety of colour scales including the Hunter L, a, b and CIE L, a, b colour scales. The ColorFlex EZ Citrus has been specially designed to measure the colour of the concentrated orange juice, lemon juice, and grapefruit juice but is capable of measuring virtually any opaque or semi-opaque liquid to a perfect degree of accuracy.

The ColorFlex EZ Citrus comes complete with a sample tube holder, port forward stand, sample clamp and calibrated Orange Juice 4 standard. Once the instrument has been set up as required, taking measurements of citric juice is as easy as loading a sample and pressing a button. On the ColorFlex EZ Citrus’s easy to read, a sealed screen will be displayed the numerical data of the Citrus Number (CN), Citrus Redness (CR) and Citrus Yellowness (CY).

Once installed as shown, the ColorFlex EZ Citrus takes up only 6 inches of bench space width meaning it can be used almost anywhere and can be used with a printer if a hard copy of the data is required.

The ColorFlex EZ Citrus can be connected to a PC and is also compatible with EasyMatch QC software, allowing the operator to study the data given in an easy to evaluate Colour Data Table, Spectral Plot and Colour Plot. Pass/fail tolerances can also be set to increase ease of data appraisal and reduce time spent on quality control processes.

This multipurpose instrument provides accurate readings for sample after sample. Its compact yet adaptable structure allows it to be a complementary part of a production process that will aid manufacturers in the quality of the end product.
